CHERYL ROGOWSKI INVITES “WOMEN IN AGRICULTURE” FOR A ONE DAY WORKSHOP

“Women in Agriculture Networks”( (WAGoN) provide networking and educational opportunities to the fastest growing segment of agriculturalists - women
Cheryl Rogowski today announced the first Women in Agriculture workshop in this region. With more women operating farms and community gardens as a means of supporting their families and communities in these challenging economic times, workshops like this are increasingly important.
“Now more than ever women need the to know basic skills of running a farm, whether it’s trouble shooting a small engine, fixing a leaky pipe or basic electrical repairs,” said Rogowski. “Perhaps most importantly, is the opportunity for women to share their experiences and knowledge.”
This one day event will feature presentations on small engine trouble shooting, basic plumbing, welding and electric skills. The day will finish with a panel of farmers and the opportunity for networking. “What makes this day even more exciting is that most of the classes are being taught by women,” Rogowski said, “You don’t have to be a farmer to participate but the emphasis for this workshop is on agricultural applications”
We are also pleased to announce that as part of this event Lisa Montanaro of LM Organizing Solutions will offer a workshop on organizing skills and time management for entrepreneurs.
Registration is$30 if pre-registered by March 18, 2009. Registration the day of the event, March 22, 2009 is $40. Pre-registration is recommended as space is limited.
The full agenda is posted on the www.rogowskfiarm.com website.
