- When I was a little kid, I wanted to be a farmer. Now that I'm grown up, I finally have my chance: I work at Spoutwood Farm in Glen Rock, PA, as education coordinator, work-and-learn coordinator, and assistant to the owner, as well as working in the community supported agriculture gardens with our wonderful suite of apprentices and interns. I'm a member of PASA (Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture) and Future Harvest - CASA, have had articles and essays in Edible Chesapeake, and write a weekly column for the Carroll County (MD) Times that often has a local food, sustainable ag, and/or local community focus.
