Policy

NESAWG organizes Northeast stakeholders to participate in public policy development. We work to increase collaboration among individuals and groups to strengthen our knowledge and effectiveness. Our advocacy efforts seek to bring a Northeast voice to federal policy. Our annual conference and work groups help participants connect on local, state and regional policies as well.

The 2012 Farm Bill is being written and decided right now.  It encompasses agriculture, forestry, energy, and food and nutrition programs. We urge members of our network to participate in shaping the 2012 Farm Bill to meet the needs of our region. Please sign up for our email list so we can keep you informed. Your voice needs to be heard!

Our Policy Organizer supports network participants as they engage in policy work – from action alerts to visits with members of Congress.  NESAWG’s Policy Organizer, Amy Little, is available to help you with public policy advocacy.
