Event Description

Join us to celebrate NH Eat Local Month at Granite Gorge on Thursday,
August 26, 5-8pm with live music and a delicious local food roast! The summer feast will offer a local pig
roast, beef on the barbeque, local sweet corn, roasted vegetables, and much more. Otis Doncaster and the
Elevators, John Cucchi and Friends, and additional local musicians to be announced will be adding the
music to the festivities. There will be opportunities to enter raffles to win cordwood, farm produce, compost
bins, and more. Come for the fun and food, and while you’re there talk to neighbors and community
members about how to get involved with supporting local farms.
Tickets can be purchased for a suggested donation of $10-20. All proceeds will benefit the Monadnock
Farm & Community Connection program and their work to keep farms profitable, natural resources
conserved, and the community connected to agriculture. To purchase tickets online visit
www.cheshireconservation.org or send funds & number of tickets requested to: CCCD, 11 Industrial Park
Dr, Walpole NH 03608. For more information contact the Cheshire County Conservation District at 603-
756-2988 ext.116 or Amanda.costello@nh.nacdnet.net. We encourage folks to purchase tickets in
advance, but they will be available the day of the event. Granite Gorge is located on Route 9 in Roxbury,
NH.
Cheshire County Conservation District promotes the conservation and sustainable use of our natural
resources for the people of Cheshire County by bringing individuals and groups with common environmental
interests together to share ideas, resources, and information. Established in 1945, the Conservation District
operates out of Walpole NH where we work alongside the Natural Resource Conservation Service and
other conservation partners. For more information, contact Amanda Costello at 603-756-2988 ext.116 or
